RMMC: THE FIRST AND THE ONLY PACUCOA ACCREDITED SCHOOL IN REGION 12 In the December 5, 2008 issue of the Philippine Star, the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities, Commission on Accreditation listed RMMC, with five (5) candidate status programs , as the only PACUCOA accredited school in Region 12. Now on its 35th year, “ PACUCOA has taken on the goal of improving its methods and practices by shifting its general direction- measuring the level of excellence of schools by educational outcomes in order to be in-step with international standards. It reiterates its shifts in focus from an evaluation stand point- from inputs and processes to results. According to PACUCOA Executive Director Adlai Castigador “ Excellent inputs do not guarantee excellent outcomes. For example a school may have highly qualified faculty members (inputs) but this does not necessarily mean that they can produce well rounded students (outcomes) .” |

RMMC: TOP PRODUCERS OF CRIMINOLOGISTS IN REGION 12 The school is very proud to have produced 30 new criminologists in the September 2008 Criminologist Licensure Examination while in the May 2008 examination, 7 passed. With this performance, the school once again asserted its supremacy to have produced the most number of criminologists as compared with other criminology schools in the region. |

DINOPOL VICTORIOUS IN THE 2008 INTERSCHOOL SURVEYING COMPETITION
Christian Dinopol, a 3rd year BSCE student is this year’s champion in the Fastest Set-up in a Total Station of the Salazar Cup held at the Oval Plaza last December 10, 2008. The said cup is in honor of the late Engr. Leonardo J. Salazar , Sr., who designed the town plan of General Santos city. There were six colleges and universities that participated in the said competition, namely, University of Southern Mindanao in Kabacan, Mindanao State University- General Santos , Notre Dame of Marbel University, Notre Dame of Dadiangas University, Northern Mindanao Institute of Science and Technology in Butuan City and Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges. Dinopol is coached by Eng. Nerio Concepcion- the Civil Engineering Program Director. The 3rd Salazar Cup was made possible by the estate of Engr. Leonardo J. Salazar Sr. estate, the Geodetic Engineers of the Philippines SarGen chapter and the Pasko sa Gensan 2008. |

GENERAL SANTOS CITY YOUTH ACHIEVERS FIND HOME IN RMMC The Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges through the years has given General Santos City a reason to hope. Some of the city’s outstanding young individuals who will eventually assume greater role and responsibilities in the society and who will shape the city’s future were from this institution. Since its inception in 2000, the school has already produced seven ( 7 ) outstanding individuals who excelled in their respective careers and craft. IT STUDES: CHAMPION IN INTER-SCHOOL IT QUIZBOWL Jezzrel Cachuela and Ivy Magsipoc emerged as this year’s CHAMPION in the Inter-school IT Quiz bowl held at the Notre Dame of Dadiangas University General Santos city last February 27, 2008. They bested all IT schools in the city. With this achievement, RMMC has proven itself as one of the best IT schools in the region. |
