VISION

Actively and continually involve in producing graduates who have the knowledge, skills, attitude and values in addressing the problem of criminality in Southcentral Mindanao and the character and competence to meet the challenges of globalization in the field of Criminology.

MISSION

Provide the community with professionally competent and mentally upright graduates who can deliver efficient and effective services in crime prevention, detection and investigation, law enforcement, public safety, custody and rehabilitation of offenders and Criminological research.

Goals

1.Encourage research and inquiry on the nature, causes, treatment or punishment of criminal behavior and how Criminal Justice agencies function and respond to crime detection, criminals and victims.

2.Prepare the students for crime prevention, law enforcement, scientific crime detection, correctional administration, public safety and allied fields.

3.Foster the values of leadership, integrity, accountability, and responsibility while serving their fellowmen, community and country.

4.Establish and develop an alternative learning system.

Program Educational Objectives

1.Analyze complex issues related to crime, law enforcement, and criminal justice using critical thinking skills, including the ability to evaluate evidence, assess arguments, and make reasoned judgments.

2.Demonstrate an understanding of ethical principles and standards relevant to Criminology, including issues of justice, fairness, and human rights, and apply these principles in professional practice.

3.Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with diverse audiences on matters related to Criminology, including the ability to present research findings, articulate arguments, and engage in professional discourse.

4.Committed to lifelong learning and professional development in the field of Criminology, including staying abreast of current research, trends, and best practices, and engaging in continuing education and professional networking.

Student Outcomes

1.Ability to apply knowledge and skills to identify and analyze practical problems in the field of Criminology, develop evidence-based solutions, and effectively communicate the recommendations to relevant stakeholders.

2.Ability to demonstrate a deep understanding of various Criminological theories, and apply these theories to analyze and explain criminal behavior.

3.Ability to think critically about issues related to crime, justice, and social control, including the ability to identify underlying assumptions, evaluate evidence, and consider alternative perspectives in the analysis.
